lyrics
You were puked from the sewers below
Full of shit – out of control
Feel the urge to dominate
To divide, detest and decimate
Inside the unknown we seek for lies
A blurring reality impels to stigmatize
Recommend all to die a wretched death
With my repugnance I will molest
I’m obsessed with disgust
Injecting poison under cold skin
Feel the urge to die from within
Spitting poison into cold blood
Like a maggot eating from the rot
Knowledge reversed
And all the doubts are getting dispersed
In a world full of shit
Everyone stinks to high heaven
Speak to me and you will be pulverized
Feed me what I want so I can get stabilized
Ears are shut while the mouth is open
Wishing the opposite dead
Hubris has spoken its mind
I want to disgorge
In the sink of life
We will drown
Without intentions to take a step back
To confess nothing
In obedience to the impulse you will backstab
Pretend the precious savior
And act the voyeur
Spectate and vomit on purpose
Excessive and foul convictions
Turn to addictions
Never to be unveiled again
Injecting poison under cold skin
Let us rot from within
While spitting poison into cold blood
We are eating from the rot

While Ofte jeg drømmer mig død will most likely always be my favourite Afsky album (being one ov my favourite albums in general), Om hundrede år ticks all the boxes I hoped it would: the calm and simultaneously depressing folk elements are there; the wailing screams of a forlorn spirit, forced to eternally wander the woods (apt comparison, deadpunk!); the harsh, bitterly cold guitar riffs and the ultimate realisation of life, death and our inevitable undoing. Exactly what I want. Recommended! David Fischer

I love Mantar. Theirs is one of the most impressive live performances I have ever seen: primitive, sweaty and more energetic than most coal power stations. Having such a beloved artist release a new album is always a bit scary, especially after three very strong offerings in a row. Still, Mantar remain untouchable and return with their most accessible (read: 'still kicking you in the balls until your teeth pop out') release so far. Odysseus might be their best song yet. The kings are back. David Fischer
